Submission Guidelines

The Daily Drunk seeks funny submissions of previously unpublished fiction, nonfiction, poetry, lists, reviews, quizzes, and comics. We accept submissions year-round and publish daily.

To submit, please send your work to [email protected]. A cover letter is nice but not needed. Do tell us who you are and send a short (50 words max) bio with your submission. If you have a Twitter handle, please include that as well!

We do read simultaneous submissions, but please withdraw your work immediately upon acceptance elsewhere. 

We do not accept previously published work.

Poetry submissions should include no more than three (3) poems. 

Nonfiction, fiction, and lists should be no longer than 800 words. Please send only one (1) of these at a time.

We unfortunately can't pay for any work right now. Hopefully we can in the future.

All your work is your own.

Please paste all submissions into the body of the email. We will not open any attachments. 

Things we like that will increase your chances of being published:

• Pop Culture
• Movies
• Video games
• Cats
• Memes
• Reviews of your favorite take-out restaurants
• The Office
